Week 1: School Technology Solutions, Brad Flickinger
Mr. Flickinger’s blog addresses significant issues in today’s educational systems. The concept of the blog, Educational Technology Bill of Rights for Students, is quite interesting and forces the reader to determine their stance on technology in the school and what “rights” the students should be allowed with their technology in the classroom. It is important for educators to visualize education with technology through the student’s eyes, however it seems that it would be difficult to allow students with the maximum amount of freedom suggested in the blog. If complete freedom was allowed to students to use their technology in whatever way they choose to, there may be negative consequences in the learning processes between students and students as well as between students and teachers.
